Installing a script on FiveM is simple if you follow the right order. This guide works for most paid resources. If your script has its own steps, always check its documentation.
resources folder.oxmysql, and these must start first.Purchased resources are delivered to the Cfx.re portal, on the FiveM account you bought with:
If your resource uses FiveM Escrow, your server must use a license key from that same account. Otherwise the resource will not start.
Unzip the file and copy the folder into resources. Do not rename the folder unless the documentation allows it: many scripts depend on the name.
server-data/
└── resources/
└── [origen]/
└── origen_example/If the script includes a .sql file, import it into your database before starting it, using HeidiSQL, phpMyAdmin or your usual tool.
Add an ensure line with the folder name. Order matters: dependencies first, then the script.
ensure oxmysql
ensure origen_exampleOpen the configuration files (usually config.lua), adjust what you need and restart the server. Then check the console: any error will show up there.
| Error | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Resource does not start | Folder misplaced or renamed | Check the path and the ensure line |
| Dependency error | A resource is missing or starts later | Install it and move it up in server.cfg |
| Escrow error | The license belongs to another account | Use a key from the account that owns the resource |
| SQL error | The database was not imported | Import the .sql file and restart |
