Essential scripts for a roleplay server You do not need to install everything on day one. A roleplay server works better if you add systems in order, starting with what players use constantly.
1. The everyday basics
These are the systems everyone uses from the moment they join:
Inventory. Players open it constantly. See inventory scripts .
HUD and notifications. They show what is going on at all times.
Character selection and pause menu. They are the first things every player sees.
Phone. It is the main communication tool. See phone scripts .
2. Economy and jobs
They give players something to do and a reason to come back:
Banking and billing.
Jobs and player-run businesses.
Dealership and garages.
3. Factions
Police and emergency services. They are at the heart of much of the roleplay. See police scripts .
Illegal activities. Gangs, drugs and heists give police work its purpose. See illegal scripts .
Keep both sides balanced: if one far outweighs the other, the roleplay suffers.
4. What makes your server unique
Once the above works well, add what sets you apart:
Housing to give each player their own space.
MLO maps to create unique places.
Races and other activities.
